Consultation response to NOU23:23 Comprehensive management of aquaculture for sustainable value creation

Norway is the world’s leading aquaculture nation and has a unique opportunity to further develop maritime industries and here more comprehensive value chains. Good incentives and framework conditions that facilitate, among other things, increased feed production in Norway will contribute to significant growth. .

New, marine and local raw materials in feed for aquaculture and agriculture will help give the world access to more and healthier food, improve animal welfare and increase our total value creation. It is also important that we produce food with a lower climate footprint – and strengthen Norwegian food supply security.

We at Nutrimar want to contribute to profitable aquaculture with a long-term perspective, and have written a consultation response to NOU 2023:23 Holistic management of aquaculture for sustainable value creation.
